Skinner’s Vaporizing Salve was first formulated in the early 1930’s by the grandfather, R. Lester Skinner. In the depths of the Great Depression, there wasn’t a lot of money for doctors, and their grandmother suffered from rheumatic fever and encephalitis. In his attempts to relieve her suffering, Grandpa developed a home remedy made from all natural oils and ingredients. His successful quest resulted in the birth of Skinner’s Vaporizing Salve.

Soon relatives, neighbors, and friends were asking Grandpa for his salve, as they quickly discovered that Skinner’s Vaporizing Salve was effective for a wide variety of everyday ailments.

Plagued with back trouble, Grandpa took some salve to the chiropractor for use in his treatment. Realizing the benefits of the salve, the chiropractor asked Grandpa for permission to use it with other patients.
