MINERALS

We have several subject matters to discuss on Health Chats and one of these subject matters is on Colloidal Minerals. Within the spectrum of Colloidal Minerals are those minerals often referred to as heavy metals. When we speak of aluminum, cadmium, lead, etc., we do not usually associate with these minerals as minerals we would ordinarily consume. Granted, heavy metals are toxic minerals. However plant derived minerals and metallic minerals, which come from the earth, are different from one another. Plant minerals like those obtained from tomatoes, broccoli, oranges, etc., are different than metallic minerals. Their size and molecular weight is much smaller than metallic minerals and in most cases the plant minerals are attached to a different molecule even though they possess the same name. Sooner or later the scientific industry will change the name of plant minerals in the future. This will occur after the scientific industry realizes that plant minerals are no longer metal elements.

Some of my patients brought back their bottle of "Majestic Earth" minerals because they saw Aluminum was part of the contents. Elmer Heinrich, President of The Rockland Corporation, stated that he attended a national health food conference in Anaheim and had the opportunity to talk to and interview 40 people. The group was made up of two medical doctors, four chiropractors, eight certified nutritionists and 26 health food store owners. He asked each person the same question: Would you eat food if you knew it contained aluminum? Without hesitation each person answered, absolutely not! Elmer Heinrich preceded to prove to them that all foods contain a significant amount of aluminum. This more or less proves that so-called experts in health and nutrition know nothing about aluminum in foods? This is also true of the authors of the many articles on colloidal minerals. We will discuss aluminum in foods shortly but before we do let’s talk briefly about the mineral market. Many people in the mineral business are decent, legitimate people, but in my opinion many are sleazy and questionable. Many so-called colloidal minerals are misbranded. Their labels and literature boast of seventy plus minerals and from certified lab tests, which were conducted independently, none of them contained a mere sixty minerals. Also, some of the colloidal minerals on the market are metallic minerals which are leached with citric acid, ammonia or other chemicals, in addition to water. This method of leaching does extract toxic metals from plant saturated humus, even from the rocks and plain old dirt. Some of these strong leaching chemicals will even leach minerals from a wood post!

Unreliable and unsupported statements are casting a shadow on the mineral industry. I truly believe it is time for all of us to make a special effort to inform the uninformed about the natural minerals in food. I am selecting aluminum because this element is most feared and misunderstood. The following list shows the high and low amounts of aluminum in some popular everyday consumables. Incidentally a microgram (MCG) and a part per billion (PPB) are considered identical.

Plant or Food               Aluminum in MCG                       Plant or Food           Aluminum in MCG

Bananas                                97,000                                   Peas                                    45,000              Asparagus                             90,000                                   Potatoes                           100,000               Tomatoes                              90,000                                   Beans                                165,000               Root Crops                         140,000                                   Corn                                  140,000              Small grains                        135,000                                   Celery                               190,000             Soybeans                              75,000                                    Peanuts                               75,000             Cucumbers                           90,000                                    Leaf Crops                          50,000

The amounts here are relative to micrograms per only three and one half ounces (3 1/2oz) of each item.

I believe that many of the articles written about colloidal minerals were the result of over zealous sales tactics within the health food supplement industry. Each company in the mineral business has the responsibility to provide you, the customer, with substantiated tests from certified laboratories, on the laboratory’s letterhead, bearing the signature of a certified chemist. They should also, at your request, allow you to visit their mine source and processing and bottling facility. If they are reluctant to do this, they are probably afraid of being exposed as frauds.

I personally believe the Rockland mines contain the purists form of plant derived minerals anywhere to be found. American Longevity, Dr. Wallachs new company, is the only networking company purchasing minerals from the Rockland mines. When American Longevity says they have 77 minerals in their Majestic Earth Minerals they have 77 minerals!

We have a small booklet entitled, "A Dier Warning!" which covers all of Dr. Wallachs products and explains which ones are needed for different health conditions. In also lists the content and the amount of each nutrient in each of his products. It also lists the minerals, vitamins and essential fatty acids and their deficiencies. In this book it explains colloidal forms of the minerals arsenic, lead, aluminum, and other minerals considered toxic. It explains that colloidals are the smallest particles that matter can be divided into while still keeping its individual characteristics. Their small size gives colloidal minerals enormous surface area, and special properties of absorption for your body, as opposed to rock and shell based minerals. One teaspoon of Colloidals can add a total surface area of over 127 acres with billions of tiny electrically-charged minerals. Soil with a similar amount of minerals, but metallic, have particles, which are hundreds or thousands of times larger, and positively charged, which makes a big difference. You CANNOT absorb them. Colloidal minerals are truly the most efficient way to get your minerals. You can absorb 98 % of them. They are liquid and they have a small particle size. Rockland Mines minerals are derived from prehistoric plant known as "humic shale". The material is not bentonite, clay or dried up seabed’s, which is the most common source of so-called colloidal minerals. Humic shale is pulverized and placed in large food grade vats and submerged in purified cool water and allowed to leach naturally and undisturbed for many weeks. During this period the plant derived minerals blend with water to form an organic colloidal concentrate and this amazing tonic has passed numerous health and safety tests, including stringent ones conducted by quality control laboratories. This pure straight-from- the-earth nutritional wonder is found in all Majestic Earth Products. There are no preservatives or synthetic substances added. You’ll discover that no product you can buy ANYWHERE comes closest to the 38 g./liter of the minerals that you get in Majestic Earth Colloidal Minerals.

A "Dire Warning" alarming fact is that foods (fruits, vegetables and grains) now being raised on millions of acres of land and that no longer contain enough of certain minerals, are starving us - no matter how much of them we eat. No man of today can eat enough fruits and vegetables to supply his system with the minerals he requires for perfect health because his stomach isn’t big enough to hold them.

This would be a good time to quote from the Senate Document number 264, 1936. For those of you who have read article two of Health Chats will remember I was attempting to copy and paste this Document from "Picture It" to the Website. I never succeeded in getting this done. I will here-with scan it into Adobe and see if we can "copy and paste" it over to today’s article.

I trust we have given a valid and understandable reason for the need for aluminum and lead etc......but only in colloidal form and not in the toxic metallic form. Dr. Wallach’s book, Rare Earth’s Forbidden Cures, gives the uses or benefits (need) for these not-so-well-understood minerals. You can purchase this book from the Website mailing address......just send us $20 plus $1 shipping and we will mail it out to you directly.  Dire Warning is $5 shipped to you.

This concludes our Chat for today. Next week I would like to discuss the thousands of athletes that die every year of Cardiomyopathy heart attacks. Reggie Lewis was a profound example of these travesties.

Take care.............God Bless..........we’ll catch you next week on Health Chats!
